FHA Loan Calculator guide
The FHA loan calculator helps you estimate payments for an FHA-insured mortgage. FHA allows as little as 3.5% down for qualified borrowers. We prefill $350,000, 3.5% down, 6.7% rate, and 0.55% for mortgage insurance (MIP). FHA uses both upfront and annual MIP—we model the annual portion; add upfront MIP to your closing costs separately.
FHA loans are popular with first-time buyers and those with limited down payment savings. The calculator includes property tax, insurance, and MIP in the monthly payment.
